I by default prefer to use honourifics in my writing for my Japanese muses , but if a partner dictates that they would rather not , I understand . My logic is basically that honourifics play a key role in Japanese culture , especially in how you can more easily comprehend relationships between characters, and so I try to accurately use that when at all possible . Just because I prefer using honourifics does not mean I am comfortable intermingling English and Japanese into my replies , such as throwing in a konnichiwa or desu . The only time you will ever see me using a Japanese phrase or term is if there is no English equivalent ( such as proper titles or objects ) for me to use . Merle Dixon doesn’t die in season 3 , and actually goes through a redemption arc .
The events surrounding the Claimers , Terminus , and Grady Memorial don’t occur . This means that Beth does not die until much later .
IN TERMS OF DEATHS : Andrea dies as in canon , Hershel dies in the fall of the prison , Beth dies in the initial fall of Alexandria , Abraham and Shane are killed by Negan , and Merle is killed in the war against the Saviours . I will not automatically ship with any Astrid .Speaking of Astrid : Astrid becomes chief , not Hiccup . I love chief Hiccup , I do , but I felt like there was so much potential for Astrid as chief and it really should have been her to take the mantle , not Hiccup .Toothless is the alpha of all dragons , and thus dragons tend to respect Hiccup since the two of them are essentially two sides of the same coin . Hiccup roams a lot with Toothless and Valka , charting the lands unknown and bringing back knowledge to Berk and Astrid . It should be said before we get too far in : House of Night isn't a good series .There . I said it . I love some of the characters to death , but I acknowledge that some of them ( Zoey ) have rather problematic worldviews in the first few books . Zoey was ableist , wh*rephobic , engaged in sl*t - shaming other women , and made several homophobic remarks as well . Like the authours of the books , Zoey changed with the times and aged and realised that the things she said / thought weren't okay .Zoey was a kid and has learned from her experiences as she grows , just as she did in the book , but I won't be writing any of that outside of brief reminiscence on how she's changed .ALTHOUGH KALONA GOT A REDEMPTION ARC IN THE BOOKS , HE STILL R*PED COUNTLESS CHEROKEE WOMEN AND THAT WON'T BE FORGIVEN OR GLOSSED OVER .Also, disclaimer : basically all the Cherokee stories , practises , and factoids in this series are untrue .
